Located on the ground floor of building A, the Obstetrics E.R. has twenty eight beds and four first class room. All rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning, television and a cupboard for patients’ clothes.
Emergency Obstetric and Gynecology E.R. is active every day, 24 hours a day. It is designed to meet the urgent health needs of pregnant women, and ensures a rapid and appropriate response to the distress call. The Obstetric and Gynecological E.R. provides diagnostic, clinical, instrumental and laboratory tests and all the actions necessary to the stability of the patient as well as specialist advice.
All users who require Obstetric and Gynecology E.R. can gain access by ringing the bell on the outside. Patients are welcomed by the nurse assigned to this service, and visited by the medical practitioner.

For entry to the Obstetric and Gynecology E.R. – although not essential – it is useful if the patient brings:
- identification card
- health card
- tax code
The emergency room nurse processes the access card which, in addition to personal data, shows the date and time of access, access number to the emergency room, and priority code.
Treatment at Obstetric and Gynecology ER follows not only the order of arrival but also the severity of the problems, established by the first evaluation of the specialist staff to triage. This priority code can be modified if there is a significant change and, anyway, all the priority codes assigned during triage can be confirmed or modified according to the outcome of the visit by the medical specialist.
